Valdez, Alaska July 1, 2016 – The Valdez Museum and Historical Archive is excited to announce the launch of our online virtual walking tour of Old Town Valdez. The virtual tour features historic sites marked by the Pioneers of Alaska Igloos #7 and #2. Viewers can access historic photos and information which elaborate the story of Old Town from its role in the Klondike gold rush era to the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake and subsequent relocation of the town. The online Old Town Walking Tour is designed to be used on cellular devices out at Old Town or from web-capable devices anywhere in the world.
