Spring Into Giving To The Valdez Museum

Valdez, AK March 16, 2023 – It’s that time of year again! The Valdez Museum & Historical Archive has launched our 2023 Annual Appeal. We are reaching out and asking our loyal supporters to donate to our wonderful Museum.

This year Board Member Nanci Hill composed the personal letter. She shares,

I see the Valdez Museum continuously bringing culture and connection to our community.  While our community grows and becomes more diversified, our museum expands to preserve the history and evolution of our town.  We are blessed to have so many residents that have shared in depth firsthand accounts and stories of their personal experiences.  When I volunteer on ship days it is enlightening to me how many people, we touch from all over the world with these stories.  Sharing such a vast array of all the moments in time Valdez has survived and overcome is so important. 

Your contribution will help us extend our outreach, provide innovative and engaging programming, and funding for collections stewardship and exhibits. While all gifts are unrestricted and will be used where needed, here is an idea of what your donation could support.

• $100: Contributes to Free Friday programming
• $250: Helps to purchase supplies for a variety of educational activities
• $500: Provides funding for collections and exhibit supplies.
• $1,000: Supports travel and lodging to bring regional experts in for presentation and workshops
