Valdez, Alaska, February 14, 2022:In conjunction with the Valdez Museum’s new temporary exhibit, ILLUSTRATING ALASKA: Artists Making Children’s Books, a new series of art and literature offerings are taking place over the next four weeks. The new series features six events that include three art workshops, both online and in-person, and a two-part workshop on making Accordion Books. The series of programs culminates in a Children’s Book Read-a-thon. Faith Revell, Curator of Education & Public Programs for the Museum, has created this new series:
Illustrating “Petunia,” the art of Roger Duvoisin, February 16, from 4 to 6 pm with Faith Revell, Valdez Museum on Egan, $20 per person/Pre-registration recommended
Drawing Games with Alaska Illustrator Evon Zerbetz, February 26, from 10 to 11:15 am Via Zoom, $10 per person, $20 per family/Pre-registration is required to receive zoom link and art supply list
Illustrating “House of Four Seasons,” the art of Roger Duvoisin, March 10, from 10 am to 12 noon with Faith Revell, Valdez Museum on Egan, $20 per person/Pre-registration recommended
