New Executive Director

Hello Museum Supporters,

It is an honor to be the new Executive Director of the Valdez Museum & Historical Archive.

Here’s a little about me and my background.

Having spent the previous 16 years in Potsdam, New York where I was Director of the Art Museum at SUNY Potsdam and co-founder of the North Country Children’s Museum, I look forward to bringing a new perspective to support the museum’s strategic plan.

Before my work in Potsdam, I was Director of the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art in New Harmony, Indiana. Additionally, I was an adjunct professor of Art History and Museum Studies at both locations.

My family and pets are excited to join me later in the year. For now, I’m getting acquainted with the board and staff and learning the ins and outs of this dynamic organization. 

I look forward to meeting you and working with you in the coming year to move the museum forward.
