Valdez, Alaska, December 10, 2022 –The Valdez Museum & Historical Archive (VMHA) is beginning its search for new members for the Board of Directors. The VMHA is governed by an 11-person board of directors.
Currently listed below are the open chair positions:
One current vacancy to serve a partial one-year term, expiring January 31, 2024.
One current vacancy to serve a partial two-year term, expiring January 31, 2025.
Three upcoming vacancies to each serve a full three-year term, expiring January 31, 2026

Board Members are appointed by the Valdez City Council. Board meetings are held every month on the third Thursday via zoom.
The volunteer board oversees management of the Valdez Museum and supports its goals to preserve exhibits and educational programming. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone that is interested in history and wants to have an impact on future developments for the Valdez Museum.
