This wonderful exhibit showcases artwork acquired through the Rasmuson Foundation’s Art Acquisition Initiative. Since 2003, the Acquisition Fund has helped to support Alaska artists through museum purchases, and enhance the art collections of Alaskan museums. Artwork will be accompanied by artifacts from the collection representing themes that formed the basis of the artists’ works. The nineteen Alaskan artists featured were inspired by the museum’s geographic region and culture, aligning with the vision of Foundation founder E.A. Rasmuson. Funding provided in part by the Alaska State Council for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. The show will run through December 30, 2017
